Lansing prepares for third regular season match against North Texas

LANSING, Mich. – Thursday is gearing up to be one of the best days of the USL League One season in downtown Lansing, as second-place Lansing Ignite FC hosts first-place North Texas SC at 7 p.m. ET from Cooley Law School Stadium.

Everyone will be able to enjoy the action on the field and much more, as LIFC hosts its first Labatt Blue Thirsty Thursday Night. Fans can start the match with Lansing’s best Thirsty Thursday specials, as $1, $2 and $3 beers will be offered around the concourse, and the beverages will continue flowing following the LIFC match as FOOL HOUSE, the ultimate 90’s dance party and cover band, will perform live at the Chevy Terrace.



North Texas SC is owned and operated by Major League Soccer's FC Dallas. Based in Frisco, Texas, the team plays its USL League One matches at Toyota Stadium and is led by head coach Eric Quill, a former FC Dallas player. With a record of 11-4-5, North Texas SC currently sits in first place in USL League One with 38 points.


  • Since the second meeting between the two sides on June 29, North Texas is 2-2-3, while Lansing is 4-0-4.

  • North Texas is the only USL League One team with a winning road record (4-3-2).

  • Lansing has scored the most goals (35) in USL League One, while North Texas has scored the second most (33) alongside Toronto FC II.

  • NTSC attacker Ronaldo Damus leads the league in goals scored (10), while MTSC midfielder Arturo Rodriguez leads the league in assists (7) and scoring chances created (45).

  • Rafa Mentzingen is the co-leader in goals (5) and assists (4) for Lansing.
