Lansing prepares for third matchup against OCB

 

 

 

LANSING, Mich. – Looking for three wins in three meetings, Lansing Ignite FC will face off against Orlando City B for the third and final time this regular season at 7:30 p.m. ET from Montverde Academy in Montverde, Florida, on Friday.

Now seven games unbeaten, Lansing has enjoyed a strong run of form, which has seen it catapult into second place in the USL League One standings.

Orlando, meanwhile, has lost five consecutive matches and recently parted ways with its Head Coach, Fernando Jose De Argila Irurita. Roberto Sibaja who currently serves as the Head Coach for the Orlando City U-19s, will serve as the interim manager for the remainder of OCB's season.

"They've done a really good job getting late points against good opponents," LIFC Head Coach Nate Miller said. "They did so against Tormenta, Chattanooga; they've beaten Madison. You have to be ready. Everyone's better at home."

Owned and operated by Major League Soccer's Orlando City SC, Orlando City B comes into Friday's match with a 3-14-4 record in USL League One. The team is led by Roberto Sibaja, currently serving as the interim manager to complete the 2019 season, and plays its home matches at Montverde Academy, Montverde, Florida.
