FRISCO, TX – North Texas SC got the better of Lansing Ignite FC at Toyota Stadium on Saturday night, but the evening was a special one for Pato Botello-Faz.
The forward, who played collegiately at St. Mary's University in San Antonio, Texas, bagged his first goal of the USL League One regular season with his friends and family watching from the stands, creating a moment they'll never forget.
Lansing played well for a majority of the match, and maybe should have been up a goal heading into the halftime break, but North Texas scored three goals in quick succession en route to a 3-1 victory at home.
With the result, Lansing moves to 5-5-5 on the year and will face off against Chattanooga Red Wolves SC on Saturday, July 6.
PATO BOTELLO-FAZ: The forward entered the match in the 65th minute and went on to complete all nine of his passes and score Lansing's only goal of the night.
