Lansing-based youth club becomes third youth club partner of professional team

LANSING, Mich. – Continuing to support and engage with local organizations, Lansing Ignite FC has revealed today a partnership with Cap City Athletic 1847 ahead of the inaugural 2019 season. The Lansing-based youth club becomes the third youth club to partner with the professional team, joining Lansing Soccer Club and Soccer Kickers.

Included in the partnership are a number of incentives, as well as unprecedented access to LIFC players, the coaching staff and club resources.

“We are excited to partner with Lansing Ignite in an effort to help grow the game in the Lansing area and to provide our players with an opportunity to watch high-level soccer right in their own backyard,” Cap City Director of Coaching and Player Development Dan Jury said. “Young players need role models to emulate as they develop, and this partnership will help give Cap City players a sense of unity with the Lansing Ignite players who they can watch play all summer.”

With more than 30 coaches and 450 members, Cap City Athletic 1847 is a full-service youth soccer organization. The club's mission is to ELEVATE the landscape of youth sports through the daily player experience. Cap City has academy style programs for U4 through U9 and first and second teams at U10 through U19. The club knows that successful development comes from passionate leaders, coaches and players who want to improve on a daily basis. Cap City's focus will be on the development of the total player and the complete person through long-term player development.
